2009 General Meeting

The ESCA General Meeting was held on October 13th at the Erlton Fire Hall.

Our proposed by-laws were approved and the current officers were nominated and re-elected for the coming year. They are: Susanne Bromke, president, Dan DiRenzo, vice-president, Pat Stewart, treasurer, and Barbara Krowicki, secretary. A copy of the ESCA by-laws can be found on our website: www.erlton-sca.org.

1.Community policing officers, Sgt. John Moyer and Officer Tim Tedesco spoke to us about recent crimes in Erlton and stressed the need for residents to keep homes, out-buildings and cars locked at all times. Make sure all valuables are not within sight in your car. They also reminded us to report any suspicious behavior, persons or cars to the police.

2.The officers urged us to be especially careful when shopping during the holiday season. Keep purchases locked in the trunk or out of sight. Park in well lit areas and if possible walk to and from your car with another person. For more information visit their website:

Winter Reminders

Shovel snow to the right side of your driveway (facing the street) to minimize the amount of snow entering your driveway.

If possible, wait until the Township trucks have made at least three passes on your street before cleaning your driveway.

Shovel and/or blow snow onto the curb, not into the street.

DO NOT PARK cars on the street during a snow storm.

To insure safety of pedestrians, residents must remove snow from sidewalks following a snow fall. In the event of deep snow, please shovel around your mailbox and fire hydrants near your house - for your safety and your neighbors'.
